MARION
CENTER, PA (May 21, 2005) -- Fresh off his second win in three weeks on Friday
at Dog Hollow (PA) Speedway, Charleroi, PA driver Sammy Stile used Hoosier's
new Late Model C3000 tires to sweep Saturday's events at Marion Center (PA)
Speedway.
Stile, in his NEXT Financial Group sponsored Rocket Chassis,
dominated his heat race, then drove away from the 19-car field to capture his
second win of the weekend. Stile utilized both the Hoosier 1100 and 1200
compounds on his drive to victory.
"I'm definitely convinced about these new tires,"
reported Stile. "I sold all my old tires to another competitor last week.
We tried a few different setups with them, but we just went back to our
standard deal for Saturday and the car was incredible."
It was Armed Forces Day at the ¼-mile Marion Center Speedway
on Saturday, May 21st and Stile shot out like a missile at the start of his
heat race event. Starting from the sixth position, Stile used a complete set of
Hoosier 1100 compounded tires to blast into the lead by lap three and cruise to
the heat race victory.
After fellow Hoosier-shod driver Dave Blazavich topped the
second heat race, the cars took to the track for the feature event. Stile
bolted on a pair of 11.0/90.0-15 AB 1100 fronts, an 11.0/90.0-15 1200 left
rear, and an 11.0/92.0-15 1200 right rear in search of the victory.
At the drop of the green, Stile wasted no time in taking
command. He grabbed the lead exiting turn two and immediately began to stretch
his advantage over the field. The only real concern for Stile was the second
and third place drivers who also chose the new generation Hoosier tires for the
main event. Kenny Schaltenbrand and Dave Blazavich raced into second and third,
respectively, and tried to chase down Stile. At the checkered though, it was
Stile claiming the win, while leading a complete sweep of the podium for
Hoosier Tire.
"It's great to have drivers like Sammy (Stile) on Hoosier
tires," commented Hoosier Late Model Dirt Product Manager Shanon Rush.
"He is always willing to explore new ideas and work hard to find success.
With the combination of our new generation tires and the determination of
drivers like Sammy, I truly believe this is just a sample of the victories to
come in 2005."
