LAKEVILLE,
IN -- The USAC National Sprint Car Series completed its 2003 campaign
with J.J. Yeley capturing his 14th win of the season at Terre Haute
(IN) on Saturday, October 4, while Troy Cline won the season-ending
race on Thursday, October 9, at Charlotte (NC). The final USAC Sprint
Car standings had J.J. Yeley claiming the title with 1935 points over
Jay Drake with 1583 points. In the USAC National Silver Crown Series,
J.J. Yeley won the final series race of the season contested at
Syracuse, New York. Yeley had four wins in the 12 scheduled races this
season en route to claiming his second consecutive championship in the

triple-crown in the USAC Series is in the USAC National Midget Car
Series where Yeley holds a slim 75 point lead over Tracy Hines heading
into the final four events of the season. The USAC Indiana Ford Focus
Series completed its inaugural season over the weekend as well with
Brandon Hartsell capturing the win at Anderson (IN) Speedway and
Robbie Ray claiming the series' first championship over Trenton
Darland.
