HOMESTEAD,
Fla. March 23, 2007 – The No. 14 is back in Victory Lane in the USAC Silver
Crown Series presented by K&N Engineering. For the second time in its
history USAC's Silver Crown Series presented by K&N Engineering took to
the Homestead-Miami Speedway’s high-banked 1.5-mile track Friday, March 23,
2007, with a 67-lap, 100-mile race.
Tracy Hines, in his first race driving for AJ Foyt as well as
first race in the new generation Silver Crown Series, led the final four laps
of the 67-lapper for his seventh career series victory.
Eleven of the 17 cars finished the race. Rookie Ryan Moore
finished fourth, while Wayne Reutimann Jr. came away with fifth, the last car
on the lead lap.
Servicing this weekend USAC events were Hoosier Tire Mid-West
out of Indianapolis, IN. Hoosier's engineering staff was also working closely
with all teams to optimize car set-up and monitoring tire performance.
The USAC series returns to action May 5 at Iowa Speedway in
