FL (February 6-8) -- Joey Saldana won twice and Danny Lasoski once at
Volusia Speedway Park over the weekend continuing the Hoosier brand's
dominance on the dirt tracks of Florida. Saldana won Friday's feature
followed by Lasoski winning on Saturday night. The 410 Sprint racing
at Volusia concluded on Sunday night with Joey Saldana winning the
finale. All four nights of open-competition action, known as the
Winter Nationals, were won by drivers using Hoosier tires. Greg
Hodnett won the opener on Thursday evening using the purple tire
brand. All but two drivers (all four nights) competed on USA-made
Hoosier tires. Also competing during the weekend of racing at
Volusia were the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the U.M.P.
Modifieds. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is an open tire-rule
venue while the U.M.P. Modified Series employs a Hoosier tire-rule.
FRIDAY
410 SPRINTS
BARBERVILLE, FL (February 6) -- In Friday night's feature race,
Joey Saldana rode a Hoosier RD12/D12 (left rear/right rear)
combination to victory lane at Volusia Speedway Park. Saldana was one
of 22 of the 24 race starters competing on the Hoosier brand. That
choice was rewarded as Team-Hoosier swept the top ten spots in the
feature.
Following Saldana to the finish line was Danny Lasoski
(D10/RD12), Fred Rahmer (D12/D12), Jeff Shepard (D12/D12), and Mark
Smith (RD12/D12) in second through fifth, respectively. Craig
Dollansky, Danny Smith, Lance Dewease, Shane Stewart and Terry McCarl
rounded out the top ten.

BARBERVILLE, FL (February 7) -- Danny Lasoski won Saturday's
feature using a pair of Hoosier D10's on his left and right rear
positions en route to taking the win. Lasoski was followed to the line
by Joey Saldana (RD12/D12), Shane Stewart (RD12/D12), Jeff Shepard
(D12/D12), and Greg Hodnett (RD12/D12). Completing the top ten were
Lance Dewease, Mark Smith, Fred Rahmer, Danny Smith and Mike Erdley.
All ten rode on Hoosier tires.

BARBERVILLE, FL (February 8) -- The fourth and final night of
racing in this year's 410 Sprints Winter Nationals was won by Joey
Saldana using a Hoosier RD12/D12 combination won his season feature in
the annual four-night event. Saldana finished ahead of Lance Dewease
(RD12/D12), Jeff Shepard (D12/D12), Shane Stewart (RD12/D12), and Greg
Hodnett (RD12/RD12). Rounding out the list of top-ten Hoosier-shod
finishers were Danny Smith in sixth, Fred Rahmer in seventh, Jeremy
Campbell in eighth and Mike Erdley in tenth.
