WATERFORD,
CT (April 16, 2005) -- Hoosier Tire East's Rob Summers of Manchester, CT scored
a popular win at Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday night in the NASCAR Weekly
Racing Series SK Asphalt Modified class. Summers led all but one lap of the
35-lap main event en route to the victory.
Quote
from Rob Summers: "The stagger stayed the same and the car never
changed all night. We have excellent tires (27.0/13.0-15 M45 right side and
26.0/13.0-15 M30 left side) here at the Bowl. The tires never gave up. The car
was fast in hot laps, the heat race and the feature. We had the same car from
the start of the race right through to the checkers. I will use these same
tires again next week."
Quote from Hoosier's Open Wheel Asphalt Product Manager
Irish Saunders: "The tires used at Waterford have been the same for
many years. The tires provide a good combination for the track and for the
weekly racers."
Other
winners at the Speedbowl on Saturday included; Carl Eriksson in the Late
Models, Jim Procaccini in the Sportsman division and Phil Evans in the Mini
Stocks. Race results for the Waterford Speedbowl can be found at www.speedbowl.com.
