OH (February 7, 2007) --- Management of Federated Auto Parts/Wayne County
Speedway in Orrville, OH has just announced a major marketing partnership with
Hoosier Racing Tire that will be in effect for the next three years and will
make Hoosier Racing Tire the ‘Official Tire of Federated Auto Parts Wayne
County Speedway’. The new corporate partnership with Hoosier Racing Tire of
Lakeville, IN will be administered through Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic based in
Baltimore, MD and Pittsburgh, PA.
“This is a great partnership for not
only Federated Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway but also for our many race
teams,” stated Ernie Coffman, owner & promoter of the popular 3/8 mile
banked dirt oval. “Hoosier builds a quality product and they are a leader in
this industry. It also tickled me that they have been so enthusiastic about
partnering with us here at the track.”
Hoosier Racing Tire is celebrating the
50th anniversary of the company founded by Bob & Joyce Newton. Today,
Hoosier is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world and all Hoosier race
tires are still proudly ‘Made in the USA’. The company continues to be
privately owned and operated by the Newton family and founders Bob and Joyce
remain actively involved in the day-to-day operations. Hoosier
produces over 1000 different types of race tires and their slogan is
"Tires Designed for Champions."
“For us it’s enormous to be a part
of one of the biggest speedways in Ohio and its great to have the Coffman’s
on board with our brand and to be a part of the Hoosier family,” commented
Bob Wirts of Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic. “We’re really excited. We’re new
to that area, and within the last year we opened a new distributorship in
Pittsburgh and this is a huge, huge deal for us.”
