MARK KINSER, STEVE KINSER & TYLER WALKER ALL WEEKEND WINNERS IN OUTLAWS SERIES

(Photo courtesy of Todd Seitz)LAKEVILLE, IN (May 6) -- Mark Kinser captured the 25-lap preliminary win Friday at Nebraska Raceway Park and Steve Kinser won the 30-lap main event on Saturday in Pennzoil World of Outlaws competition. In World of Outlaws Gumout action, Tyler Walker won the 40-lap main event at Illinois' LaSalle Speedway in dominating fashion. Walker set fast time, and then won his heat, his dash and then the 40-lap main to complete the Saturday night sweep. Once again, all three feature races ended with the Hoosier brand finishing 1-2-3. The Team-Hoosier scorecard is now 21 wins in 23 events in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series and a perfect 3-for-3 in stand-alone World of Outlaws Gumout Series events. In fact, all three events have ended in a 1-2-3 finish as have 19 of the 23 Pennzoil World of Outlaws races.
  

PENNZOIL WORLD OF OUTLAWS PRELIMINARY

(Photo courtesy of Todd Seitz)GREENWOOD, NE (May 3) -- Twenty-seven cars were entered in qualifying on the 1/2-mile Nebraska Raceway Park track--22 on Hoosier tires. The top nine times were posted by Team-Hoosier drivers. Joey Saldana set fast time (14.113 seconds) followed by Craig Dollansky, Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Daryn Pittman, Mark Kinser, Tim Shaffer, Danny Wood and Blake Feese.

All three 8-lap heat races were won by Hoosier-shod drivers. Brad Furr, Paul McMahan and Randy Hannagan each won their respective heat races on Hoosier tires.

Both 5-lap dash races were also won by drivers using Hoosier tires. Tim Shaffer won the first dash, while Mark Kinser won the second.

Justin Henderson won the B-main on Hoosier tires to keep Team-Hoosier perfect during the night of racing. 

In the 25-lap feature, 19 of the 24 race starters were on Hoosier rubber. Tim Shaffer used his pole position to take the early race lead. Joey Saldana moved from third to first on lap number two. Saldana led until lap 22, when Mark Kinser moved into the race lead. Kinser, who started on the outside pole, led the remainder of the way to collect the win and pocket $5,000. Kinser was using a Hoosier D12/D15 combination in recording his fourth consecutive series win at the Nebraska facility.

Danny Lasoski finished runner-up and collected $3,000. Lasoski, who started fourth, used a pair of Hoosier D12's in the feature. Joey Saldana took third place using the same D12/D15 combination as the race winner.

Steve Kinser, Tim Shaffer, Brad Furr, Craig Dollansky, Donny Schatz and Paul McMahan finished fourth through ninth, respectively, for the top-nine sweep by Team-Hoosier. Amazingly, Donny Schatz charged from 24th to finish eighth in the 25-lap feature. 
   

PENNZOIL WORLD OF OUTLAWS FINALE 

Steve Kinser after his A-main win Saturday (Photo courtesy of Todd Seitz)GREENWOOD, NE (May 4) -- With the four top finishers (Mark Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Joey Saldana, Steve Kinser) from Friday locked into the dash, 20 cars posted times in qualifying--17 of them on Hoosiers. Daryn Pittman posted fast time of 13.816 seconds followed closely by Craig Dollansky at 13.834 seconds.

Both heat races were won by drivers on Hoosier tires. Danny Wood and Paul McMahan were each heat race winners. 

In the single dash race contested which set the starting grid for the 30-lap feature, seven of the eight competitors rode on Hoosier tires. Mark Kinser won the 5-lap race followed by Danny Lasoski, Steve Kinser, Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana, Blake Feese and Daryn Pittman, as Team-Hoosier swept the top seven positions in the dash.

In the 30-lap feature, Mark Kinser took the early race lead at the drop of the green flag. The two-time series champion led the first 15 laps before giving way to cousin Steve Kinser. From there, the 16-time series champion led the remainder of the way en route to the win and the $12,000 payout. Kinser won the 30-lapper on a pair of Hoosier D12's. Finishing in second place was Mark Kinser. He opted to run the feature on a pair of Hoosier RD12's. Danny Lasoski took third also on a pair of RD12's.

All told, 11 of the first 12 drivers to cross the finish line were using Hoosier tires. Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana, Tim Shaffer and Brooke Tatnell rounded out the "all-Hoosier" top seven. Daryn Pittman, Paul McMahan, Blake Feese and Randy Hannagan rounded out positions nine through twelve, respectively.  

Team-Hoosier continues to hold the top seven positions in the series points chase. Steve Kinser is in first place with 2527 points. Defending Champion Danny Lasoski commands the runner-up spot with 2509 points. Mark Kinser is in third place with 2506 points. Craig Dollansky, Tim Shaffer, Joey Saldana and Brad Furr round out fourth through seventh, respectively.

The series resumes action this Friday for a one-night show at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, MO. The series then travels to Tri-City Speedway in Illinois on Saturday for another one-night program.  
       

WORLD OF OUTLAWS GUMOUT SERIES      

LASALLE, IL (May 4) -- During the last Gumout race at Port Royal Speedway, Tyler Walker set a new track record in qualifying, set a new one-lap and 8-lap record in his heat and capped the night by setting a new 5-lap record in the dash before rains forced the postponement of the feature until August 22. This time, Walker did one better by not only posting fast time and winning his heat and the dash, he also won the 40-lap feature to cap his perfect night of competition.

A stout 37-car field was on hand for qualifying--24 of them on Hoosier tires. Tyler Walker set fast time after circling the 1/4-mile track in 11.470 seconds.

Tyler Walker, Jeremy Campbell, Shane Stewart and Wayne Johnson were each heat race winners. All four competed on Hoosier tires.

Both dash races were also won by Hoosier-shod drivers. Tyler Walker and Jason Sides each won their respective heats. 

In the 40-lap feature, 19 of the 25 starters rode on Hoosier tires. Jason Sides got the early jump from the outside pole to take the race lead. Shane Stewart took over the race lead on lap 3 before giving way to Tyler Walker on the seventh circuit. Walker led the remaining 34 laps en route to completing the night's clean sweep.

The top three finishers all used a pair of Hoosier D12's for the 40-lap event. In a last second pass, Boston Reid captured fourth place at the checkered flag.

Jim Moughan, Kraig Kinser, Shane Stewart, Tom Bush, Brandon Wimmer and Brian Carlson finished sixth through eleventh, respectively as Team-Hoosier took 10 of the first 11 positions.

In the three stand-alone events in the Gumout Series this season, Team-Hoosier has finished 1-2-3 in all three.

The next race for the Gumout Series is on May 10. They will be competing with the senior circuit at State Fair Motor Speedway in Sedalia, MO.
