LAKEVILLE,
IN (May 28-30) -- The World of Outlaws Series was busy over the past
holiday weekend contesting three more events with Mother Nature
forcing the postponement of last night's event at Lebanon Valley

(photo) gave the locals a 2-0 record when he passed 18-time World of
Outlaws champion Steve Kinser on the final lap of the 30-lap feature
to take the win. Then on Saturday, the series traveled to Hagerstown
(MD) Speedway where Greg Hodnett also passed Steve Kinser with just
two laps to go in the 30-lap feature to push the record of the local
drivers, also known as the "PA Posse", to 3-0. On Sunday,
Steve Kinser would not be denied a third time when he passed Joey
Saldana just past the halfway mark of the 35-lap feature at Grandview
Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA. With the Kinser win, Team Hoosier has
now won 25 races in a row in the World of Outlaws Series.
WILLIAMS GROVE FINALE
MECHANICSBURG, PA (May 28) -- With the top four finishers (Fred
Rahmer/Steve Kinser/Jason Sides/Donny Schatz) in Thursday's
preliminary race locked into Friday's Dash race, that left 35 cars
posting times in qualifying--34 of them on Hoosiers. Greg Hodnett was
the fastest qualifier on the 1/2-mile track at 17.617 seconds (118.234
mph) followed by Sammy Swindell, Don Kreitz, Jr., Daryn Pittman and
Lance Dewease. The Hoosier brand was used by the 28 fastest qualifiers
on the final night of racing at Williams Grove.
Kraig Kinser, Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana and Tim
Shaffer were the four heat race winners. All four race on Hoosier
tires.
All eight competitors in the night's Dash race rode on
Hoosiers with Fred Rahmer taking the win followed by Steve Kinser,
Donny Schatz, Don Kreitz, Jr., Jason Sides, Daryn Pittman and Sammy
Swindell. The finish determined the starting lineup for the first four
rows in the night's feature race.
In the 30-lap feature, all 24 starters rode atop the
Hoosier brand. The race began with the previous night's winner, Fred
Rahmer, taking the lead from the pole. Rahmer's lead lasted for one
lap before Steve Kinser passed him on the high side to take over the
race lead. From there, Kinser, using a D12/RD15 (LR/RR) combination,
looked to be on his way to the win when fourth starting Don Kreitz,
Jr. made a last-lap pass for the win in front of a cheering crowd.
Kreitz collected $12,000 for the win while using a Hoosier RD12/RD15
combination. Steve Kinser settled for the runner-up spot and $6,000,
while Greg Hodnett rounded out the top three after starting
sixth.
Rounding out the top ten were Fred Rahmer in fourth
followed by Paul McMahan, Jason Meyers, Lance Dewease, Mark Smith,
Jason Sides and Jeff Shepard in fifth through tenth, respectively.
Shepard charged from 22nd to take tenth.

Speedway and the sixth World of Outlaws main event win of his career.
HAGERSTOWN SPEEDWAY
HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 29) -- Thirty cars were on hand Saturday at
Hagerstown Speedway with 27 of them on Hoosier tires and the remaining
three split among the other two competing tire brands. Steve Kinser
set fast time of the night with a 15.224 second lap around the
1/2-mile oval. The defending series champion was followed by Daryn
Pittman, Kraig Kinser, Greg Hodnett and Paul McMahan with Hoosier
tires being used by the 21 fastest qualifiers.
Jason Meyers, Mark Kinser and Joey Saldana were the
three heat race winners. Each claimed their respective 8-lap race wins
on Hoosier tires.
There were two Dash races completed with Steve Kinser
claiming the win in the first Dash, while Joey Saldana captured the
win in the second Dash. All 16 competitors in the Dash races rode on
Hoosiers.
For the third night in a row, all 24 starters in the
feature race opted to run the Hoosier brand. The race began with Steve
Kinser immediately taking the race lead. Kinser looked to be on his
way to yet another win when disaster struck. The 18-time champion
collided with a lapped car which handed the lead to second running
Greg Hodnett with just two laps remaining. Hodnett, who had started
way back in 12th position, went on to take the $10,000 win using a
Hoosier D12/RD15 combination. Lance Dewease took second and Donny
Schatz took third after starting 20th. Both Dewease and Schatz used a
pair of Hoosier D12's in the feature race.
Jason Meyers finished fourth followed by Craig
Dollansky, Kraig Kinser, Brian Brown, Brian Paulus, Tim Shaffer and
Paul McMahan to round out the top ten.
In the winner's circle, Hodnett commented, "I
have to thank Apple Dealerships, Cars by Dealers, Hoosier Tires
and Capetta Engines. They've been great for us this year."

BECHTELSVILLE, PA (May 30) -- Forty cars were entered in Sunday's
World of Outlaws race at Grandview Speedway with 38 posting times in
qualifying. All but two of the qualifiers rode on Hoosier tires. Danny

Pittman were the four heat race winners, while Kraig Kinser and Joey
Saldana each won their respective Dash races.
In the 35-lap feature, 23 of the 24 starters rode on
Hoosier tires. Joey Saldana got the jump at the drop of the green flag
to take the early race lead. Saldana remained out front until lap 18,
that's when seventh starting Steve Kinser moved into the lead using a
94" D12/D15 set up. The King of the Outlaws led the remainder of
the race to claim the $10,000 win--his 503rd main event win in the
series. The win broke the string of three consecutive wins for the
local drivers known as the PA Posse.

in a row after starting 10th. Dewease used a 94" RD15/RD15
combination. Donny Schatz also finished in third for the second
consecutive night. He collected the final podium spot using the same
rear tire combination as the race winner.

fifth, respectively, followed by Chad Layton, Fred Rahmer, Greg
Hodnett, Kraig Kinser and Brian Brown in sixth through tenth as Team
Hoosier secured the first 23 spots in the night's feature race.

five nights.

third--138 points back. Jason Meyers and Paul McMahan round out the

drivers in the driver standings.
