AS LASOSKI WINS AGAIN IN WoO ACTION

Shown is Neil Cowman and Danny's crew.TERRE HAUTE, IN (June 8) -- Danny Lasoski increased his lead in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series over Steve Kinser by winning the 30-lap feature at the Terre Haute Action Track Saturday night. It was a clean sweep for Team-Hoosier, as Hoosier-shod teams set the eight fastest times in qualifying and won every race contested during the evening of competition. Lasoski, also known as "Catfish" by his team owner Tony Stewart for his propensity to run the bottom of most tracks, took this win by utilizing the high-side of the 1/2-mile oval. 

A total of 21 cars were on hand for qualifying on the sunny day in Indiana with temperatures in the mid-to-upper eighties. Nineteen of the 21 qualifiers were on Hoosiers. 

The first three drivers out on the track set the three fastest times in qualifying. Joey Saldana, who was first out, set fast time of 16.555 seconds (108.728 mph) around the 1/2-mile track. Danny Lasoski, Mark Kinser, Danny Wood, Kraig Kinser, Daryn Pittman, Steve Kinser and Tim Shaffer were second through eighth, as the top eight times were posted by Hoosier-shod drivers 

All three preliminary heat races were won by drivers using Hoosier tires. Donny Schatz, Brad Furr and Blake Feese each won their respective 8-lap heats.

Both dash races were also won by Hoosier-shod drivers. Mark Kinser and Danny Lasoski won the dash races and earned the right to start on the front row for the 30-lap feature. Both drivers used Hoosier's new RD12 compound on their right rear positions.

In the feature, Danny Lasoski got the jump at the drop of the green flag over Mark Kinser using the high-side of the track to take the lead. Lasoski led all thirty building a nearly straight-away lead at the finish. Lasoski, like most of the other race starters, elected to ride on a Hoosier D12/D15 combination for the 30-lap race. Lasoski picked up $10,000 for the win.

Finishing in second place was Mark Kinser who had Karl Kinser back in the #5 pits after recuperating from some recent surgery. Kinser pocketed $5,500 for his runner-up finish. Steve Kinser, who started fifth, mounted several challenges for the runner-up position settled for third place and $3,200. 

All told, the first seven drivers to cross the finish line used the Hoosier brand. Joey Saldana, Daryn Pittman, Danny Wood and Tim Shaffer finished fourth through seventh for Team-Hoosier.

Craig Dollansky captured ninth place and competed the list of Hoosier-shod drivers in the top ten.

Danny Lasoski stands atop the series standings with 4227 points, followed closely by Steve Kinser with 4204 points. Mark Kinser, Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana, Tim Shaffer and Donny Schatz round out the top seven as nine of the top ten drivers in the point standings ride on Hoosier tires.

The series will next be in Topeka, KS on Friday and Saturday night. Team-Hoosier has now amassed a stellar 32 wins in 36 races in Pennzoil World of Outlaws competition this season.
