LAKEVILLE,
IN (June 14, 15) -- Danny Lasoski won his second Pennzoil World of
Outlaws race in a row, while Tyler Walker won his fourth World of
Outlaws Gumout Series race in weekend sprint action. Lasoski won
the Friday's preliminary opener in Topeka Kansas as rain forced the
postponement of Saturday's finale which was rescheduled for Monday,
June 24th. Tyler Walker continued his strong performance in the World
of Outlaws Gumout Series capturing the 40-lap feature at Heartland
Park Topeka on Saturday. The victories extended Team-Hoosier's record
to 33 wins in 37 races in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series, while
the Team's record in the Gumout Series remains unblemished at seven
wins and no defeats in stand-alone competition.
PENNZOIL WORLD OF OUTLAWS - Preliminary
TOPEKA, KS (June 14) -- Twenty-four cars were on hand for
qualifying--21 of them were riding on Hoosier tires. Randy Hannagan
was the fastest Hoosier-shod qualifier. Hannagan circled the 3/8-mile
track in 11.710 seconds.
Two of the three preliminary heat race winners rode on
Hoosier tires. Mark Kinser and Craig Dollansky won their respective
heats atop the Hoosier brand.
Both dash races were won by Hoosier-shod drivers. Joey
Saldana and Brad Furr were dash winners.
In the 25-lap preliminary feature, Joey Saldana jumped
out to the early race lead from the pole position. Saldana led until
lap 12, when 11th starting Donny Schatz moved into the race lead atop
a Hoosier RD12/D12 combination. Schatz led until lap 16, when
defending series champion Danny Lasoski moved into the lead. Lasoski,
using a Hoosier D10/D12 set-up, led the remainder of the way and
collected $5,000 for the win.
Finishing in second place was Donny Schatz. Danny Wood

finishing positions.
Rounding out the top ten for the purple tire brand
was: Joey Saldana, seventh; Randy Hannagan, eighth; Paul McMahan,

series point standings.

WORLD OF OUTLAWS GUMOUT SERIES
PLYMOUTH, WI (June 15) -- Tyler Walker picked up his 4th win of the
season in World of Outlaws Gumout competition on Saturday. Not bad
considering there have been just seven stand-alone races in the series
to date. Walker led all but two laps of the 40-lap feature. Wayne
Johnson led the first two circuits before giving way to Walker on lap
number three.
The finish was yet another podium sweep for
Team-Hoosier in the series. Shane Stewart captured runner-up honors,
as Benton, MO winner, Wayne Johnson, took third. The finish was the
seventh in seven races in which Hoosier-shod cars have finished 1-2-3
in the night's feature race.
Both the Pennzoil World of Outlaws and the Gumout
Series will be competing together at the Eagle Nationals in Eagle
Raceway in Eagle, NE this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
