IN (July 25-26) -- The World of Outlaws Series made two stops in New
York with Steve and Mark Kinser each claiming a win in the traveling
sprint car series. On Sunday, Steve Kinser led all 25 laps en route to
collecting the win at Lebanon Valley Speedway, while on Monday night
Mark Kinser led every lap in capturing the 25-lap feature at Orange
County Fair Speedway. It was the 48th and 49th consecutive win in the
series for the Hoosier tire brand.
LEBANON VALLEY SPEEDWAY
WEST LEBANON VALLEY, NY (July 25) -- Thirty-three cars were
on hand Sunday at Lebanon Valley Speedway with 32 cars electing to
trust the Hoosier brand during the night of racing. Tim Shaffer set
fast time in qualifying at 17.792 seconds on the 1/2-mile oval
followed by Donny Schatz, Mark Kinser, Danny Lasoski and Brian
Carlson. The top 20 times in qualifying were recorded by drivers using
the Hoosier brand.
Heat race winners included Kraig Kinser, 17-year-old
Lucas Wolfe and Jason Sides, while the two Dash winners were Steve
Kinser and Danny Wood. All five drivers also compete on the Hoosier
brand.
In the 25-lap feature, 23 of 24 starters rode on
Hoosier tires. Pole sitter Steve Kinser took the lead from the green
flag using a 94" D12/D15 (LR/RR) combination. The 18-time series
champion led every lap en route to the win followed by Danny Wood
(94" RD15/D15), Joey Saldana (94" D10/D20), Erin Crocker
(94" D12/D15), and Jason Meyers (94"D15/D15) in second
through fifth, respectively. Brandon Wimmer finished in sixth place
followed by Danny Lasoski, Mark Kinser, Paul McMahan and Kraig Kinser
as Team Hoosier swept the first 16 positions in the night's feature
race.
ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY
MIDDLETOWN, NY (July 26) -- Thirty-three
cars filled the pit area at Orange County Fair Speedway for qualifying
with 31 cars riding on Hoosier tires. Previous race winner Steve
Kinser set a new track record in qualifying circling the 5/8-mile
track in 17.239 seconds using a Hoosier RD12 compound as his right
rear selection. Kinser was followed by Danny Lasoski, Mark Kinser,
Daryn Pittman and Donny Schatz. The 15 fastest times in qualifying
were all posted by drivers riding atop Hoosier tires.
Brandon Wimmer won the first heat race,
while Jason Meyers and Brian Paulus won the second and third heats.
Mark Kinser earned the right to start on the pole for the 25-lap
feature by winning the first Dash with Daryn Pittman joining him in
the front row after capturing the win in the second Dash race.
For the second consecutive night, it
was a flag-to-flag win in the series with Mark Kinser leading the
entire race distance. Kinser opted to use a 94" D15/D15
combination for the 25-lap race. Daryn Pittman, using a D12/D15 set
up, finished in second place followed by Steve Kinser (94"
D15/D20), Danny Lasoski (94" D15/D20) and Donny Schatz (96"
D15/D20). Jason Meyers finished in sixth place followed by Kraig
Kinser, Paul McMahan, Jason Sides and Lucas Wolfe to round out the top
ten. The first 14 drivers to cross the line in the feature all rode on
Hoosier tires. It was the 44th consecutive 1-2-3 finish in the series
for Team Hoosier and the 49th consecutive victory.
