IN -- The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series made two one-night stops
over the weekend and when the racing was over, Sammy Swindell and
Danny Lasoski (photo) had extended Team Hoosier's win streak to 53
races. On Friday, Sammy Swindell passed mark Kinser in the final turn
of the final lap to capture the win before a cheering crowd at Eldora
Speedway in Ohio. On Saturday, it was Danny Lasoski making a late-race
pass of Kraig Kinser to capture the win. Lasoski stated in victory
lane, "I can't say enough about Jerry Russell's Eagle Chassis and
Paul Kistler engines, as well as, Hoosier tires."
ELDORA RACE
ROSSBURG, OH (August 6) -- Forty-two cars took turns qualifying
with 38 drivers opting to circle the Eldora Speedway 1/2-mile oval on
Hoosier tires. The remaining four drivers all used the other competing
tire brand that was on hand. Greg Hodnett set fast time with a lap of
13.072 seconds followed by Chad Kemenah, Danny Lasoski, Jac
Haudenschild, Mark Kinser and Rob Chaney as Team Hoosier claimed the
top six times and 28 of the 30 fastest times in qualifying.
In heat race action, all four heats were won by
Hoosier-shod drivers. Daryn Pittman won the first heat, while Chad
Kemenah, Danny Wood and Kraig Kinser won heats two through four. In
Dash action, Mark Kinser won the first Dash and Chad Kemenah captured
the win in the final Dash with the pair earning the right to start the
feature on the front row.
In the 30-lap feature, 23 of the 25 starters rode atop
the Hoosier brand. Pole sitter Mark Kinser, using a 94" Hoosier
RD15/D15 (LR/RR) combination, took the lead at the drop of the green
flag. Kinser looked to be on his way to the win when third starting
Sammy Swindell motored past him in the final turn of the final lap to
snatch the win away. Swindell, who qualified ninth and finished second
in his heat, ran the 30-lap race using a 96" D15/D15 set up. Mark
Kinser settled for second place with Chad Kemenah rounding out the top
three.
Kraig Kinser was fourth followed by Greg Hodnett,
Danny Lasoski, Jac Haudenschild, Randy Hannagan, Jason Meyers and
Steve Kinser in fifth through tenth, respectively. The first 20 cars
to cross the finish line all rode on Hoosier tires.

Saturday's USAC event at Eldora Speedway.
I-55 RACEWAY RACE
PEVELY, MO (August 7) -- A huge 46-car field was on hand Saturday
night at I-55 Raceway with 44 drivers opting to trust the Hoosier
brand in qualifying. When qualifying was over, the Hoosier brand was
used by the 37 fastest cars.
In heat race action, Danny Wood was a winner in the
first heat, while Mark Kinser, Brian Paulus and Donny Schatz were
winners in heats two through four. In Dash action, Joey Saldana was
the winner in the first Dash with Mark Kinser capturing the win in the
final Dash to set the front row line up. All six race winners rode to
their victories on Hoosier tires.
In the 40-lap feature, 23 of the 24 race starters rode
on Hoosier tires. The race began with pole sitter Joey Saldana
(94" D12/D15) immediately taking the lead. Saldana led the first
29 circuits before giving way to fifth starting Kraig Kinser. Kinser,
using a Hoosier RD12/D12 set up, led through lap 36 before eighth
starting Danny Lasoski took the lead. Lasoski, using a Hoosier
RD12/D15 combination, led the final four laps to capture his seventh
overall win of the season including six A-main wins.
Following Lasoski to the line was Kraig Kinser in
second place and Joey Saldana in third. Steve Kinser was fourth
followed by Daryn Pittman, Donny Schatz, Mark Kinser, Tim Shaffer,
Erin Crocker and Paul McMahan. Jason Sides and Craig Dollansky were
11th and 12th, respectively, and completed the sweep of the first 12
spots in the night's final race for team Hoosier.
The win for the Hoosier brand set yet another record
of 53 consecutive wins. It was also the 48th consecutive 1-2-3 finish
of the season for Team Hoosier which is seeking to claim its fifth
consecutive title in the World of Outlaws Series.

The World of Outlaws Series is back in action
Wednesday (August 11th) at Knoxville (IA) Raceway four the annual
