YAKIMA,
WA (August 24) -- Twenty-eight cars posted times in qualifying on the
3/8-mile Central Washington State Fair Speedway--24 of them on
Hoosiers with the remaining four drivers split among the other two
competing tire manufacturers.
Brad Furr set fast time of the night with a lap of
13.714 seconds. Furr was followed by Joey Saldana who clocked a lap in
13.724 seconds.
There were three 10-lap heat races required to narrow
the field for the 40-lap feature. All three heats were once again won
by Hoosier-shod drivers. P.J. Chesson, Danny Wood and Craig
Dollansky each won their respective heats.
In the dash races, Steve Kinser won the first race,
while Joey Saldana won the second 5-lap race.
In the 40-lap feature, Steve Kinser led every lap from
his pole position to capture the $10,000 win--his 15th victory of the
season. Kinser used a D12/D15 set-up in taking the win. Danny Lasoski
took second and pocketed $5,500 using a D12/RD15 combination. Mark
Kinser was third and used the same combination as Lasoski.
Previous night's winner Joey Saldana was fourth, while
Jason Meyers, Donny Schatz, Tim Shaffer, Brad Furr and Craig Dollansky
were fifth through ninth, respectively, for Team-Hoosier.

Shaffer (7465) and Donny Schatz (7396) round out the
"All-Hoosier" top seven in the standings. Brad Furr and

show tomorrow at Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon where Team-Hoosier
looks to extend their current consecutive win streak in the series to
38 wins in a row.
