DOLLANSKY LEADS HOOSIER-SHOD PARADE
TO OUTLAWS FINISH LINE IN GREENWOOD, NE

Craig DollanskyGREENWOOD, NE (September 18) -- Craig Dollansky led a bevy of Hoosier-shod drivers across the finish line in Wednesday's Pennzoil World of Outlaws race at Nebraska Raceway Park. Dollansky was followed to the stripe in the 30-lap feature by Tim Shaffer, Mark Kinser, Donny Schatz and Joey Saldana for the top-five sweep by Team-Hoosier. The podium sweep by the purple tire brand was the 60th of the year in 83 nights of competition. Dollansky is currently in 3rd place in the season standings, while Tim Shaffer continues to add to his list of strong runs. The Aliquippa, PA driver has a third place finish, a first place finish, and two runner-up finishes in his last four races.

Thirty-cars posted times in qualifying with 24 opting to run on Hoosier tires. Joey Saldana set fast time of the night. Saldana's time was 14.071 seconds around the 1/2-mile oval, as nine of the ten fastest times were posted by cars using the Hoosier brand.

Two of the three heat races were won by Hoosier-shod drivers. Don Droud, Jr. and Danny Wood were the two heat race winners for Team-Hoosier.

Both dash races were also won by cars riding on Hoosiers. Mark Kinser took the checkered flag in the first dash, while Kerry Madsen took the 5-lap win in the final dash race.

In the 30-lap feature, Mark Kinser took the lead at the drop of the green flag. Kinser was riding atop a D12/D15 (left rear/right rear) compound combination. On lap three, third starting Craig Dollansky, using the same compound selection, moved into the race lead passing Kinser on the low side. Dollansky led the remainder of the race winning by nine car-lengths. 

Tim Shaffer, who started fourth took second place using a RD12/D12 combination. Mark Kinser settled for third, while Donny Schatz (D12/D15) finished fourth and Joey Saldana (RD12/RD15) took fifth. The victory was the 48th consecutive win for the Hoosier brand and the 60th time Team-Hoosier finished 1-2-3 in 83 races in Outlaws competition in 2002.

All told, nine of the top ten finishers in the feature rode atop Hoosier tires. Brooke Tatnell, Don Droud, Jr. Ricky Logan and Steve Kinser rounded out seventh through tenth for Team-Hoosier.

The Outlaws return to action this Friday and Saturday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE.
