NORWALK, OH (May 16-18, 2014) -- This past weekend there was a "little" drag race in Norwalk, OH which turned into a HUGE drag race with attendance over 20,000 fans for a NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional race.

The race featured everything from a Jet powered Kenworth to 14-second stockers. With rain and cold weather controlling most of the first three days of action, it came down to trying to get the race completed in just one day.

Late at night with the lights shining on the 1/4 mile track the finals for Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny car were contested. Top Alcohol Dragster would end up with both Hoosier Tire shod cars taking the track. Marty Thacker would succumb to oil pressure difficulty handing the victory to Brandon Booher. Both dragsters race on Hoosier 18790C2055 rear tires.

Alcohol Funny Car was settled between Chris Foster and Andy Bohl with Chris leading wire to wire for the win. Again, both cars put rubber to asphalt using the Hoosier 18790C2055 tire. That concluded racing for Sunday night.

Monday would see the remaining classes get their chance to finish racing. When it was all done Hoosier Tire had victories in; Top Sportsman (Jerry Albert), Top Dragster (Marco Abruzzi), Super Comp ( Jack Sepanek), Super Stock (Zach Running) and in Stock ( Steve Sullivan). Hoosier-shod drivers were also runner-up in Top Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Stock.

All in all, it was a good weekend for Hoosier-shod cars in Norwalk.
